Sandra S. Neuman was born on September 26, 1969 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She graduated cum laude from Duquesne University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She attended the Duquesne University School of Law where she was an executive editor of the Duquesne Law Review, a member of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society and Order of the Barristers.  She graduated with a Juris Doctor in June of 1994 and was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania in November of 1994. 

For over 15 years Attorney Neuman has been exposed to the civil court system in Pennsylvania.  She started her career as a law clerk for the Honorable Martin J. O'Brien for the Court of Common Pleas of Butler County and for the Honorable Joseph Hudock of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.  After concluding her clerkship with the Superior Court, she accepted an associate position with the largest law firm in Butler County where she practiced in the areas of general civil litigation and school law.  Attorney Neuman has handled a wide variety of civil matters including general negligence, medical negligence, personal injury, motor vehicle law, premise liability and construction litigation.  She also served as assistant general counsel to school districts and taxing authorities and has represented school districts in student disciplinary matters.  From 2000 to 2007 Attorney Neuman worked at Gismondi & Associates, P.C. where she devoted a substantial amount of her trial practice to the area of medical malpractice.  Since joining Richards & Richards in 2007 she has been able to continue her focus as an advocate for the catastrophically injured due to medical negligence. 

She is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  In 2011, she was selected by her peers as one of the top 5% of attorneys to be listed in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine.
