Firm Overview

Pittsburgh (PA) Pennsylvania Lawyers

The firm was established in 1968 by the late John Richards, Jr.  John led the firm until 2007, now his children Veronica Richards and John T. Richards, III manage the firm.  Over the years, the firm has grown to where we now have five lawyers, each with their own unique qualifications to help our clients who have been the victims of medical malpractice or suffered a catastrophic injury. Our firm also handles commercial and residential real estate transactions, wills and trusts, and estate administration.

Veronica Richards, who oversees the medical malpractice cases, has worked as a nurse practitioner and hospital administrator before joining the law firm as an attorney.  Attorney Jean A. Manifesto and Attorney Sandra S. Neuman each bring years of experience in medical negligence cases.  They work together as a team to review every case that comes through the door.

In addition to our ability to review medical documents and understand the jargon used by health care professionals, we regularly consult with recognized physicians and specialists, as well as nurses for input in evaluating your treatment, your future recovery and your need for future medical services.

Because of our strong belief in holding physicians and medical professionals accountable to the patients they treat, and mistreat, we are very selective about the cases we agree to take. Our clients generally come to us with the most severe types of injuries and suffer some long-term disability as a result of medical negligence. Over the course of a year, we may review 250-300 cases; but in order to give our clients the attention they deserve, we take only a small percentage. Since we recognize that many of the cases we decline to take do have merit, we will do what we can to help you get representation from other attorneys.

When you meet with us, you can be assured that we won't put pressure on you to do what you're not willing to do. We will explain how we think we can help you and then move forward with our investigation-all at no charge to you. The process can be a long one-often it can take six months just to obtain and review all of your medical records; but we won't forget about you or lose touch and, of course, you are always free to call us if you want to talk to us for any reason.

If you feel a medical mistake has been made during surgery or a visit to the Emergency Room, you need to contact an experienced Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyer in Pennsylvania.

With our Main office located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (PA), we are happy to evaluate cases from all of Western Pennsylvania including Greensburg, Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Sharon, New Castle, Butler, Beaver, Cranberry Township, Kittanning, Washington, Indiana, and throughout Allegheny County, Westmoreland County, Butler County, Beaver County, Mercer County, Lawrence County, Armstrong County, Washington County, Cambria County, and Indiana County.
